Volunteers support the
Fredericksburg Police Department
with special events, crime prevention
and office assistance. Citizens
eighteen years and up are able to
join upon completion of the Citizens
Police Academy.

How to Join FVPS
Upon submission of a
Citizens Police Academy
application, a
background investigation
will be conducted.
If accepted the
applicant will attend a
twelve-week course in
various subjects of Law
Enforcement. Upon
successful completion of
the training class, the
student will be issued a
uniform and at this
time elect to participate in the various activities of
Fredericksburg
Volunteers in Police
Support.
